I've got the inverter 8/5 .. the key information here is STEAM and PRE-WASH. Worked on mine even though the buttons are not in the same layout. Pesky sounds are gone, wooohooo!

Thanks for the ideas. Didn't work in my case. I've had my LG washer WM3470C and dryer DLE3470 for only 3 hours and the signal tones are driving me insane. The meager instructions say to press "on" button then hold *Signal under COLD WASH (washer) or *Signal under DRY LEVEL (dryer) for 3 seconds. A tone occurs to tease me that it shut off but then it just keeps mocking my efforts by beeping at every dial turn or cycle end. (Same for turning off the Energy Saver on the dryer. Actually all *[function] buttons are not working.) I'm having buyer remorse. Do you have a solution?

Wtf. I have a different model, DLE3400W dryer and holding the signal* button didn’t work like the website said but I tried: turning on the machine pushing the start/pause button while it spun I ‘then’ held the signal* button for three seconds and that worked. I swear I tried this and other combinations multiple, multiple times. I hate this machine and any machine that jingles and chimes! Good luck to anyone else.
