My newest realization to avoid being 'the man' is allowing things to get as awkward as you can. No joke.. I have dated men who will comfortably not make concrete plans, not chose the restaurant, not invest time in asking questions.. They know that we will start to pick up the slack just to make things more 'comfortable'.. . but if you DO NOT act... let it be as awkward or uncomfortably strange or silent.. he will pick up that tab. he will become more dominant and make the choice. He is forced to hunt, instead of expecting you to become the man and do everything
