Well done brother. The only video when someone repairs this that is actually smart enough to know you need to put glue in the butt seam where it came apart. Other videos just tap it back together and we all know what will happen without that glue you put in the butt seam.

If the piece dont snap/click together, then it isnt a floating floor. Only way this “trick” works is if youre fixing an incorrectly installed floor. If the floor covering was nailed or glued down in the first place like it should have, you wouldnt have this issue - ever.

this idea works, the issue is you never know which side moved, so moving one invariably means moving another, then of course you might end up with a gap at the skirting board. So be careful.

Straight cut both boards so they are flush, and just stomp it forward with some grippy shoes, don’t forget to add glue between them if you don’t wanna have to keep kicking them back together 😂

You can kick it back in place. Remember when you were a kid and you would kick the floor and make your shoe bark like a car tire burning out? Do that. It will slide right back in place. Then just go to the next plank in the row and do it again. I done flooring most of my life.
