Exploring the 3DS eShop in 2022 before it Shuts Down 😪

On February 15, 2022, Nintendo announced that they would be shutting down the Wii U and 3DS eShops. It's a sad day... one of the only ways to legally download and play classic Nintendo games. Make sure to purchase some games now before the 3DSeShop is gone for good. Watch this video with me and take a trip down memory lane on the 3DS!

I had a 2ds several yrs ago and sold it. Bad move. When I heard the eshop was closing down for good, I knew that I had to have one again. The 2ds design is great, no hinges to wear out or break

This feels the same as when i learned miiverse got closed, even if i stopped going on it since 2016 miiverse was fun and was a great and fun time, i made great friends there, it was very sad to see it gettin shut down, i was mostly active in 2013~2015, but i heard that miiverse quite got messy with the people and strange interactions later altough i heard that the main reason was that it was an expensive cost for nintendo to keep it running as they didn't get an income from it, sadly

Even though I’m sad that the e-shop is being canceled, I feel like it is a part of history, and you should be happy that it happened, not sad that it’s ending. Also, I’m excited to see what they will do next, with the free server space that the e-shop was taking up.

I remember exploring the eShop long time ago. It was a nice shop. It's sad to see 3DS/Wii U eShop go😢😢by the way i just turned 20 in February 15. Long time ago I went to a burger king and connect my 2DS to the burger king Wi-Fi and started exploring the eShop and saw Mario and Luigi Dream Team. I had the game cartridge. But just saw it on the eShop. Started using the browser in my 2DS

Wow, looking at the Smash demo for a split second just gave me flashbacks. 2014 Twitter was wild. At its initial release I believe there was a code you had to enter to be able to play the demo a maximum of 3 times. People were essentially fiending for demo codes.

I hears to get the community back on their eShop for the final days with the 3DS they are really giving away Zelda four Swords Anniversary Edition for free download! As well as releasing Doom 1 and 2 hexen Wolfenstein 3D and Star Wars dark Forces all in 3D for downloadable purchase on the eShop! With some hinting that they might also release nightmare creatures for the 3DS in 3D as a eShop download for its final days!

Definitely DON'T avoid games with DLC if they interest you, Fire Emblem especially.

About the gba games on the 3DS eShop, there’s no gba games on the 3DS eShop because Nintendo said It wouldn’t function well, which doesn’t make sense because back in 2011 before the price cut, Nintendo offered 10 gba games for players to download on the 3DS before the price dropped.

Good thing I watched this earlier, I found my 3ds probably like 3 weeks ago (not having it for atleast 3 YEARS) still held its battery (obv) and I checked my e shop and I had £9.14 to spend 😂 so I got a load of random games

I’m crying… I have a love hate relationship with Nintendo

Theres just 1 problem is pirating nintendo was illegal . The games must be purchasble and be made for users to access . Otherwise, nintendo is creating a issue that the company is handling like crap. An the nes, snes, and n64 selection on the eshop for switch is pi-ss .

After August 2022 you can add funds via a linked Switch. Not ideal but still an option
