Thanks Gillian for having Dr Goldner on. I just found out after being on her smoothie protocol for 3 months that I no longer have evidence of disease in my blood markers! Keep up your amazing work 💕🌱

A few years ago when I first went vegan, a few months in I started getting chronic cystitis. Went to the doctor went to a specialist tried a few things but nothing worked. It went on for months. Then I read about the omega imbalance causing inflammation so I went out and got omega 3s immediately. Within a few weeks I was completely healed. I was amazed and no doctor had said anything to me about diet

I agree. Increasing fats from omega 3s, coconut and walnuts has improved my workouts and mental stamina.

I’m so glad she mentioned the fear of the flaxseeds because of getting fat. I was only putting a tablespoon in my smoothie for this reason but now I know I need to add more and it’ll be better for recovering my health and losing weight. Great information! Thank you!

This is such an important episode! I ran in to MAJOR health issues after a few years on a raw diet. The fact that you have to dive deep into nutrition science in order to make it long term is widely underestimated. Thank you for promoting supplements, nutrient updates and everything in between!

Uh, cashews have an omega 6:3 ratio of 47:1! The "best" nut is walnuts with a 4:1 ratio followed by macadamia nuts with a 6:1 ratio. But macadamia nuts have very little of either omega-3 or omega-3, and have mostly omega-7 and omega-9. And sesame seeds have a 56:1 ratio! Also, hemp seeds are *great*, with a ratio of 3:1.

I take an algae oil omega 3 dha epa once a day and 2 tablespoons of ground flax in my green smoothie. I also eat nuts and seeds with my salad! Walnuts being my favorite. ❤

I believe Gerson used flax oil and so did Budwig in her cottage cheese and flax oil cancer protocol.

Except for sardines which have very little omega-6 and are loaded with omega-3 in the form of DHA and EPA. Whereas flax and chia and all other plant sources of omega-3 are almost exclusively ALA, which the body only converts to DHA/EPA at a maximum 10% efficiency.

Great information, thanks Gillian!!! Everytime I watch Dr. G. I learn something. I can definitely think of some plant-based YTers that need to add some Omega 3's and avo's to their diets. Maybe I'll increase my doseage to 1/2 c.seeds or 3 T flax oil.
