Great channel . I got a bridge fitted just under two years ago and it just fell out. I was experiencing pain leading up to it falling out and ended up needing root canal on the two anchor teeth . It’s back in now but he used temp cement ‘just in case ‘ . It cost me 2.5k in Scotland. I’m really worried that she shouldn’t have did this to so large a gap

Hi,
I am going through the Dental bridge procedure. Could you please let me know what could be complications I can face in the future? How many chances are there for any sort of complications? Mostly how they are treated, I mean treatment is there? What is the longevity of the dental bridge? I am really worried hence thought of asking you. I came across your profile, I am from Bengaluru. Could you please guide me?

I have just lost one of my 1st Molars, and my future scares me, just do nothing, usually leads to more problems, including additional tooth loss.

I am going thru a implant atm I can not see the benefit of having a bridge over a implant why would you want to damage 2 more teeth . What happen 10 to 15 years down the track when it starts to fail ??

I had a perm bridge. Thing is doing any impressions while a bridge is in place even perm ones dislodges them out requiring re-cementing. I hate to think what my real teeth under them will even survive if they was ever to get pulled from the bridge a second time. I had to get a impression and when my bridge came out I want it immediately re-cemented back I don't want my real teeth (Whats left) exposed any second longer. The Cement used either was not strong enough or was not enough to keep it in place. Under normal day to day use it has never caused any issues.

Hello @Electric Teeth, I recently had a 3 unit
bridge on lower incissors, I was missing one congentially . My dentist did root canals on my two abutment teeths which were perfectly fine(without any cavity) before cutting them and installing bridge . But I am reading online that it's not compulsary to do . So I am wondering why did he did that, Are there some advantages of it if we do the RCT before ? or did he just do it to make some money ? I am really feeling bad knowing I have destroyed my other fine teeths as well. Would RCT treated teeth cause problem in future ?

I want to get a bridge because I don’t like the downtime for an implant and also the pain/risks. The only issue I’ve heard from others is that bridge doesn’t stop gum recession and face sagging, if I get a bone graft before a bridge will that prevent the gum recession from loss of bone?

So I'll need to destroy two good teeth to replace one? That sounds about right.

I hope you read and reply to this comment. So I had a my bridge, it lasted me 15 years. And it eventually fell off, the new dentist I went to PULLED OUT MY TWO ANCHORING Teeth. I am 41 and I am using a particial denture I absolutely hate it, and my self esteem and confidence is low. So I am going to get a new denture put after one year of dentures, my issue is another dentist I went says I can do either 6 or 7 bridge, I am missing my teeth in the side of my mouth. It is a big gap. Will my denture last another 15 years?

So you will not get the bridge on in one visit ? Even if it’s a temporary bridge

3 nos teeth missing, is it right to fix 5 unit bridge or 7 unit is more useful taking 2 teeth support instead of 1 teeth support..kindly suggest

I just lost a tooth, but the one on the other side is a crown. Can I still get a bridge?

Is bridgr a better option or an implant???As you said in your video, that there are chances of denture coming out, an implant won't come out then...So it better to opt for an implant rather than going for a bridge

i dont have a molar, the other molar behind has alot of metal and the teeth forward needs a root canal. in this case the bridge is best alternative right, cause the other tooths are not in perfect condition. thanks for insight dr, also you dont have to do surgery?
