As the war in Ukraine intensifies, Russia faces a severe shortage of new soldiers, with losses reaching unprecedented levels. The Kremlin's growing reliance on conscripts and the dire situation on the front lines make the prospect of mass mobilization more realistic. We cover insights from British intelligence, Ukrainian officials, and the personal accounts of Russian conscripts' families. Despite attempts to attract volunteers with financial incentives, Russia's strategy may fall short, forcing the Kremlin to consider unpopular moves like mass mobilization, which will inevitably bring Russia deeper into economic disaster.

Hard to motivate troops when you spent the money for their boots on a new oriental rug for yourself

RuZZia is not just struggling with manpower but is seriously wearing thin on military equipment, ie. tanks, artillery, and armored vehicles.

The Russians might condone the war in Ukraine, as long as it doesn't affect them as many know what's happening there and don't want to go.
Look at Kursk, quite a few were happy to support Putin and his war, but started yapping when the war came to them and Putin did nothing.

Russia can¨t reach Kursk because all the bridges and roads were destroyed. They have to send their men from Ukraine if they want Kursk back.

Sometimes, you gotta bring the fight to the bully. Usually they aren’t so tough once you do, because most bullies never expect it.

Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod are thinly defended so Ukraine can take a lot of area to trade for Crimea.

Russian army plan: send untrained conscripts to fight in Kursk. Result, loads of POWs for Ukraine.
