We have been trying inter seeding into the cash crop(corn) the last couple of year with a Interseeder drill that was designed by Penn State. First couple of years had a little success nothing great. We switch last year to Italian rye instead of cereal rye was dying out. There is also radish, turnips and couple other things in the blend. We are trying to get feed for cattle comin off of grass is main goal and weed suppression. This year looks good did it two weeks ago so far so good. Timing is the key to when you should plant. First couple of year I think we were to late not enough sunlight to get goin. Rows closed up to fast.

G'day Brian and Darren.
Each season I plant soybeans as a cover crop. I hope to get at least 60 % nitrogen into the soil.
I'd like to try Crimson clover as a cover crop. How do they compare with each other?
What are their benefits other then Crimson clovers spectacular field of bright red flowers.
