Salt Lake City lands of list of best places to live

On the tail of Utah being named the best state in America for 2023, Salt Lake City has once again ranked on the list of top cities to live in the country.

Salt Lake City secured spot number 58 overall on the U.S. News & World Report rankings.

While any mention on the list is an accomplishment, Salt Lake City has fallen when compared to 2021 and 2022, where it landed at spot No. 23 in both prior years.

My STUDIO apt is $1, 300 bucks. Our homeless rate is sky high. So go figure. I don't get it. I live on 😂😂 afew hundred dollars after rent. And my auto ins is nearly $270 per month. But im greatful I have a home for sure. And I know people who won't work, and get free, zero dollar rent. And make more money than I do sellin and doin drugs.

10 years ago you could buy a house for 150, 000 that same house today is worth 650, 000 or more and wages have not increased and all the houses in downtown salt lake are slowly getting demolished and turned into apartments

Rent sucks…cost of living is high (cost of living calculation is off)…I-15 SUCKS when so much as a flat tire happens…air quality? What air quality?! Sunsets are pretty however.

This is why born and raised Utahans are having to move out of the state. We had a small city that was of quality. Now it’s so expensive we can’t live in our home state. Not to mention the traffic and overcrowding of fun destinations. I wanted to raise my kids here and am now having to look elsewhere😢

This is 100% related to home prices based on how they weighted the criteria. And the comments that it’s California’s fault is also correct. Influx from California to Salt Lake has been consistently heavy for a decade now 😬. #1 was Greenbay WI?! Clearly they didn’t take winter comfort into account🤦‍♂️
