I needed this surgery and went forward with it on my left side. That was 4 1/2 years ago and I have been greatly blessed. No pain, no post-op blood clots, work 20-30 hours per week on my feet at Lowes. I will be having this done to the right side in the near future as the pain is very intense and limits my mobility. Be very disciplined to do the therapy exercises for the next 6 to 8 weeks post-op and have a good diet with plenty of protein to help the muscles that are cut to grow back together. It WILL get progressively stronger as it heals
Presently, I am 71 years young and plan to return to work when able.
