You do realize you are sterilizing a healthy 18 year old woman. This means she can never have children and may also suffer the possible negative effects of the surgery itself. As a registered nurse of 40 years, I feel this is the height of malpractice. In the past, sterilization was rightly criticized due to eugenic motives such as racial and handicapped issues. That the medical community has jumped on the band wagon for doing this to trans youth frightens me. We do not know the long term implications of this and yet we say it is “affirming care”. I shudder at this.

Their videos also said that children as young as 2 know they are transgender and can express that with things like not wanting a haircut. Idc about the young girl distinction, 17 is young. And hospitals are performing mastectomies on 15 year olds. These people are sick.

How do you "mis-characterize" someone when all you do is post them speaking in their own words from start to finish? Its like a cigarette company advertising to young people, but saying that because they wait to sell you the smokes the moment you turn 18, it's fine. It's a children's hospital advocating this; do you honestly think that they are not pushing this on people younger then 18, but wait until they turn 18 to do the surgery? They only wait till 18 for liability reasons.

Amazing, as someone who has had children and my tubes are tied I cannot ask for a hysterectomy as I would get turned down by my doctor unless it was medically necessary. Yet 17 and 18 year old young girls can change their gender with a hysterectomy based on how their feeling.
