Austin ISD teacher fired over viral TikTok video | FOX 7 Austin

Sophia DeLoretto-Chudy was a third grade teacher at Becker Elementary School in Austin until she posted a TikTok that went viral overnight.

This is the SECOND time I saw this woman in the news and the first time was her going viral for a different TikTok where she criticized her boss after being told not to push her political views on her kids. She's a lying snake and I'm glad she's gone. The school is based.

Good grief....I glanced at her TikTok account and it is even more pitiful with all the videos she has posted since this happened. She's coming across as an attention-seeking, immature crybaby, pretend victim who is eating up all of this ridiculous media coverage. The days of newsworthy news seem to be gone... smh

as an elementary school teacher myself, I'm just so impressed that this middle schooler was able to get a job teaching! Now that shes going on the news, no one's going to hire her lol. Attention-seeking behavior like hers is such a good way to kill your early career.

I like that one of her complaints was that after firing her they took her badge, locked her out of the apps, and cut her off from communicating with others. Yes, this is what happens when you get fired.

As an educator, she did several things wrong. Additionally, how can she become an advocate after one year, with one principal? Her audacity just blows my mind.

If an adult with a college degree cannot figure out not to go on social media and rant about their employer then they need to find out the hard way the difference between how adults behave vs children, most adults at some point may not agree with their employer but they keep it off of social media, so stinking immature 😑

I taught in 5 different schools. Every district has an ethics clause in the contracts that teachers sign. So that's one against her. Plus, if you're hired on a probationary contract, the district does NOT have to renew or offer you a permanent position. That's strike 2 against her. Been that way since I was a newbie in 1981. Is it fair? Maybe not, but if you wanna teach ya gotta go by the district policies. 🤷‍♀️
