Thank you. This exactly answered the question I had about which charger to get.

I went with the 70W power adapter as well because it made the most sense. I'd much rather have 70W dedicated to my MacBook than have 35W split between two devices.

got my air from amazon. was disappointed it came with the 35 watt charger. I think it takes about 3 hours from 0-100. although I've only got down to 20% and its taken 2 hrs and 20 mins to get to 100

Does a 70w fast charger damage the battery of MacBooks? I know it is better not to use fast charging with an iPhone, but I’m not sure with a Macbook.

Definitely buying the MacBook Air 15 M2 with the 70W Charger, Great review.

You really didn't compare the two chargers... You just gave speculation as to the 35w charger taking longer to charge without testing it. What gives?

Can I use the cable that came with the iPhone 15 pro and the 35w charger to charge the macbook ? Or do I need another cable that supports more wattage. Not sure if the iphone one is not limited to 20w.
Thank you

Seriously glad I opted for the 70W version with my 15-in M3 MacBook Air although I had to wait for one to ship from China rather than getting one from the local Apple Store.

I got the 15” one and asked for 70W but in the box it was 35W, I’m going to exchange the charger, should I exchange the whole machine or just the charger? Silly question, but is the machine that I got with 35W charger able to withstand the 70W adapter?

I went with the 70W too but it’s because that’s what will charge both of my laptops. It minimizes how many chargers I have to bring. I figured that the Air battery lasts much longer than my HP so they won’t compete for the charger. I guess it’ll be used mainly for my HP.

I think the only reason why someone should choose the 35W one is if you already have a 70W one from a prior MacBook.

MacBook Air M2 15-inch

It is preferable to use a 35-watt charger as it charges slower but extends the battery life of your laptop.

When using a 70-watt adapter, my battery dies quickly. I hope this information helps someone.

My macbook air 2020 charges around a max of 50w which is much higher than the rated 30w charger provided

Is it better if I just use my 61W charger (from my Macbook Pro M1 13") instead of of the 35W? I do not plan to buy 70W for now.
