Brandon McInnis's English cover of "Fuyu no Hanashi" from given!
Like many of you, I cried my face off when I saw the part of the show when this song plays. It hit me hard. (spoiler alert) Mafuyu is paralyzed with fear, with indecision, up until this exact moment. A moment when his timid, shy, terrified self drags out the truth of his feelings center stage and yells them out at the top of his lungs.

I've found myself in that same timid, shy, terrified state more often than I'd like to admit in my life, especially when I was younger, and seeing Mafuyu find that power and scream it out gave me so much hope. It's easy to be paralyzed by indecision, and it's hard to be brave and share the truth with the world. Heck, it's hard to even identify how you feel sometimes. But when I saw Mafuyu shout out his complex torrent of feelings in this incredible song, it made me feel like I could, too.

I hope you enjoy my cover of Fuyu no Hanashi, and may it give you the same strength that Mafuyu gave me.

you can really hear the emotion and detail he screamed out when he sang at 1:58. It’s really beautiful, and I think it really captures the grief that Mafuyu has been going through.
