Just put an aluminum Edelblock space underneath it. Space the heat from the carburetor in the summertime, and it'll run better. And run good in winter

All carb vehicles when hot need to be floored when hot starting. That's how it's always been even before ethanol gas. even the owners manual for my 70 C20 says to floor it when hot starting. I put a 1404 carb on my C20 which has a manual choke, and the only thing I needed to do to it was put in bigger metering rods, and adjust idle mixture and that was it. Runs good, sounds healthy, I can't complain. Flooring it to hot start a carbed engine is just part of owning a carbed engine.

Aluminum carbs transfer heat from intake manifold edelbrock has a few different wood phenolic spacers these tend to block heat transfer
