Settlement Conferences, Status Conferences, and Case Management Conferences

What is a settlement conference? These conferences are sometimes called "status conferences" or "case management conferences", depending on the county. They are used for a variety of reasons, but are basically quick conferences with the judges to give un update to him or her on the direction of the case. You will not be called to testify at these court appearances, and we will not be introducing evidence. Judges want to move cases towards a resolution as quickly as possible.
