For maximum portability it makes more sense to buy the 13” and spend the extra money on a one of those portable 15.6” external usb c monitors. Than you can just use the 13” on the go, and also have a second 15” monitor for the times when you need extra screen real estate.

Just so you guys know, if you get the 13 inch M2 air and scale it down to the lowest setting of 1710x1112, that'll give you a very similar screen real estate to what the default scaling of the 15inch M2 air gives you (around 1710x1107), although the text is smaller. It's what I use and it feels like you do have a bigger screen real estate if you can read the text that's slightly smaller

I mostly use the air in ac or the colling pad so no fan problem as I'm just a student

For normal web browsing and basic office software use, the cheapest 13” M1 MBA is best buy still. If needed a bigger screen, then the new base 15” M2 MBA is the way to go. Anything more intensive, buy the base 14” M2 MBP.

How is the chassis flex? I know the 13 doesn’t have any. Just curious if the 15” does. That’s my deciding factor

Same old stuff. nothing new, nothing original. just another ordinary comparison that tells me 15” is bigger than 13” and follows the same pattern as all the reviewers around.

I'm still on a 2018 Air with an Intel chip, considering maybe getting one of the new Air's. Still doing my homework but I'm leaning towards wanting the 15 inch. The 13 inch is a bit too small, especially when trying to rest it on my lap. I could go Pro but tbh I don't want to spend the extra money for what I'll be using it for. I don't need a Pro.

Guys help me out, im thinking of buying a Mac and i have two options atm, should i get the M1 2020 512gb and 16gb ram or the M2 2022 256 gb and 8gb ram, both are at the same price of around €1150(cheapest in my country i could find for both)

15” makes a huge difference. It’s great. And it is bigger but it’s still super portable and light. For the added screen size and almost the same portability the 15” is arguably the better choice. I see no reason to get to the 13” anymore.

I doubt it’ll happen, but I’m craving for the 11 inch MacBook Air to return.

I decided to jump the gun and buy the MacBook Air 15 inch but with 24GB RAM and leave the 256GB SSD since I have an 5TB external hard drive and seems people worry too much on storage due to only 1 chip which I get but after seeing so many videos and YouTubers doing “benchmarks” cause I don’t think I’ll see any difference in the SSD and I’m sure it can run very well with a lot of applications and especially having a gaming monitor so I don’t need a Pro MacBook, yes people will say I should have gone with the Pro but people underestimate how good the M2 Air is and it’s portability, I’d say if you love the M2 Air, go for It, just make sure to get more RAM whether it’s 16 or 24GB rather than storage. I’ll be upgrading from a 2020 i3 Intel MacBook Air to the M2 Air 15 inch
