The issue is that either the renter or the owner must in some way pay insurance and property taxes if they want a "permanent roof" with utilities like electricity, gas and water. Because of this, many people—at least in California, where I currently reside—are living in tents. No taxes, rent, mortgages, or insurance. The number of people who tell me they live in their car that I meet amazes me. Its crazy out here!

It’s true. Property taxes is nothing more then paying rent on what you own. It makes no sense. I bought a lot. So why should I pay taxes for life on that land that I bought with money I already paid taxes on.

I inheritaned land from my parents. But the taxes have went up so much it's like the state is trying to steal the land back deguised as a tax so high owners will default on taxes owed.

It's amazing. I feel like people are finally waking up in being educated on taxes. People are realizing the unconstitutionality of them. And which taxes were set up originally and why and what they become! God, I pray that this movement keeps gaining traction!
