Baseboard flooring transition

What about a transition to a flat surface. (Carpet to vynil planks). Its a 90 degree drop. It has a half inch gap, to the next baseboard.

You should hold the baseboard up off the subfloor anyway usually 3/8”

Not again, either scribe the bit on the carpet or use a taller profile and scribe the floor, that looks terrible
