Talk given online for the anniversary the European Union of Yoga.

During the last year’ celebration of the International Yoga Day I listened very carefully to all statements given by promoters of vegetarianism. And this has actually made the subject of the present article. I will further give a list of vegetarian advocates’ main points and show how far-fetched they are.

Misconceptions:
1. “Vedic culture” tells us to avoid animal food.
2. The authentic Hindu tribes, did not eat meat.
3. Buddha and Mahāvīra didn't eat meat (meaning ahiṃsā practice).
4. Ayurveda teaches we must not eat meat.
5. India is a vegetarian country.

Thanks God, my mom doesn't speak English and couldn't use all these facts to reassure me once again that I'm fool and will corrupt my health! 😂
