Interestingly, you are able to learn from the inherent random factor engrained in the behavior of new learners/low IQ opponents, as they will potentially explore novel strategies, not thought of by the experienced.
I also believe that this is a better way to classify it, since the IQ is more important for speed of learning vs. the initial capability.

I'm not sure I would agree. Pattern recognition is important, but IQ is essentially the processing speed of a person's intelligence. Think of it as cognitive horsepower. However, horsepower says nothing about a person's substantive knowledge which can be high or low regardless of IQ level.

I think that high IQ means that you see paterns when there's actually a patern. I mean, that's what IQ tests aim to test, ability to see correct patterns

im able to solve most of maths problems in my class, but i think i might have a very low IQ, reasoning tests just go over my head, i cant seem to find patterns in easy questions its oblivious. im in 10th and i want to be a physicist, I don't think i will be able to even if i become one, it'd be a terrible one... im in 10th grade ...

Guy who gave me my IQ test asked me to recall a time I struggled to understand something. I couldn’t. But that said I struggle daily to understand why there’s so much stupid about, too often in positions of power and authority, doing stupid thing after stupid thing after stupid thing. My internal dialogue is just one long ‘FOR FUK SAKE!!!! And on that note, that’s the real difference between stupid & intelligent people…stupid people are happier!
