It breaks my heart how openly people tear down those with lower IQ. I didn't earn my intelligence, it doesn't make you happy, it doesn't make you successful.

I have always appreciated how broken-hearted Dr. Peterson is when he thinks of people with a low IQ. He understands how difficult it is for someone to find a place in society, yet know fully how it will not work to take a collectivist/welfare approach.

i just turned 25 and have thought about this question a lot. I have been told I’m very smart, but I’m horribly uneducated. I have no formal schooling and have had to teach myself most of what I know. Dr. Peterson has helped me a lot in trying to better my education and career. hopefully I can make up for my lack of education in my youth and become a valuable contributor to my family and community.

Most of my friends are medical professionals and several are tradesman. The tradesman as a rule are doing just as well or better than my professional friends. Never under estimate a mans will to better himself if he is driven ! As a child I was evaluated, and found to be mentally handicapped, low IQ. I failed many elementary and HS classes even health. Today I am a medical professional and have been in the field for 37 years. Nobody studied harder and stayed in the college library more than I. Even as a child I knew they were wrong. God can do many wonderful things if you trust in him and work hard ! I still consider myself simple, even though I have become financially successful. Never believe your below average ! Become the best you can be at everything you do. Failure is part of the path to success. Don't stay down keep getting up. It's never the fall it's the person that stays down that fails.

My son has autism and his father left and chose to not financially support my son. I work but I survive and I am so sad knowing my son will be poor and less respected. People are not kind to people with disabilities. It makes me sad cause I can’t change it for him.

It's hard to be honest with yourself in those personality tests. I often catch myself answering with what I want to be instead of what I actually am. I also think I have a distorted sense of who I am.

Absolutely agree. We all have a purpose in this life, and we all have to make the best with what we've been given. Honest hard work is very commemorable.

I've taken the official 7 hour IQ test administered by a nurse and got 125, but I excelled in some parts of the test as well as did horribly on other parts. That was a while ago and now I haven't used my brain in so long I wouldn't be surprised if it has degraded with age. I still cannot function in society

This really helped me out i was born like this being something else but now i can beat people around me in just being smart but i know i have to work harder like almost everyone I'm a very slow learner heck i started reading at 8th grade but slowly it's changing a little by little now getting better marks and stuff, as per now i believe iq doesn't mean someone potential or say intelligent's yes it's really hard being disable but slowly you can do it. I Believe you can do it even if everything is against you i would even say i was tired of being so slow to a point i was really lazy but i started again in my 10th grade and never give up. Atleast I BELIEVE IN YOU btw now I'm in 12th yes I'm still behind everyone but I'm gaining speed on them so "they should be scared well it's just my imagination here" anyways have a good one
