The Wing Chun punch demo here is incorrect, it's supposed to have kinetic linking for power hence why even a short distance, there's power with the punch. U used strictly arm strength instead of whole body strength in the punch.

It’s a huge part of Sport Karate usually coming off a cross step and high block or back fist. Even Chuck Norris wrote about it in his book “Winning Tournament Karate” back in the 70’s.

I think wing chun chain punching is probably most effective in a narrow space or if you’re let’s say mounted on top of a grounded opponent to use as a distraction so you can take one of their arms for like an Americana. It’s applicability I feel is really more as a set up for another technique than a finisher I feel.

In boxing you're not supposed to reset and throw the right. The right comes right after the jab. The difference is also that the 1-2 in boxing can also be a knockout combination. Not sure if that's the case in Wing Chun. Either way both have there merits.
