Many times people have cramping in their foot or even in their toes, and they have a hard time getting the cramping out. You can stretch and strengthen them with a towel, and rubber bands or marbles if you have some! Place the rubber bands or marbles on the floor. Pick them up one at a time with your toes, and move them to another pile.

Put a towel on the floor, and try to crumple the towel with your toes. Then you can stretch your toes and foot by placing your foot on the towel. Leave your heel on the floor holding the towel in place, and pull the towel up and over your toes until you feel a stretch. Hold the stretch for 30 seconds, and do it three times.

Unfortunately in my case, curling my toes triggers the painful foot cramp. But the towel stretch is very helpful.

So simple, yet so effective. I've dealt with nearly daily foot cramps for years after a hyperextension incident, and this is the first thing I've found useful in terms of therapy and exercises. I just wish I had found this video a few years earlier... thank you!

People tend to forget about the muscles in the feet until they are hurting!! You're right, preventative stretching and strengthening is just as important!!

Toe cramp is one the worst pains I’ve experienced! Only seems to happen when I’m over stretching like on a ladder... horrible when you’ve got over 50kg in your arms 😩

This actually helped a lot. I’ve been in physical therapy for both of my ankles. now I have cramping at the bottom of my foot but I had no idea why this is the part of the Physical Therapy I forgot to do.
