I always get this when I leave old tires in my backyard and water starts to pool in them

This is kinda giving me 'enchanted garden' vibes, if that makes sense

It would probably look really cool with some more plants and other ornaments, as far as it's compatible with the fish

You must keep it! Now the goldfish can play soccer!

A nap in those algae as a small shrimp would be legendary

My tanks are literally in my garden, exposed to sunlight all day and never have green carpet algae lmao

I do have it but only in a smal portion: i have a fish breeder net and green algae grows on it but the part that it grows on its literally touching the aquarium light😅

A tank can be beautiful with algae. 🥺 It just takes patience to maintain, I would assume.

That looks so soft and amazing! Almost like a beautifully kept lawn

I've found that green water when without agitation will grow into a carpet algae if left for a couple weeks then a large water change to clear up any algae left in suspension

Tip: the best grow lights are the high pressure sodium fixtures that have a bulb inside that can get cheaply and easily replaced unlike the led fixtures that are very expensive and have no bulb to replace. That leads to throwing away the whole fixture. + high pressure sodium lamps last much longer than the leds 👍🤩

i actually have something like this, although its darker and longer. its pretty damn annoying when you have decor in your tank, and almost impossible to get rid of (from my experience) but if you like it then thats good for you.
