The smell of nitro and the incredible sound can’t been described you have to be there in person. There is nothing in Motorsports that compares to these 11, 000 horsepower fuel burning beast. 0 to 300 MPH in less than 3 seconds. 338 MPH in 3.6 seconds. I’ve been watching them over 50 years and still am amazed. With a crew pass I’ve been a few feet from them on the starting line and watching how fast they disappear is unbelievable.

I took my son to one of these in Ohio, he was about 13 or 14. I was not sure whether he would enjoy it or not. They took off down the track and at the end I looked over at him and he had a grin from ear to ear ... it made my day.

I was 10 years old in 1965 when I saw my first top Fueler. I was standing about 20 ft from the starting line when it took off I ain't been right since LOL.

Just had my first experience yesterday (at age 59) seeing Top Fuel live at Pacific Raceway in Kent. It was just amazing and no one can explain to you what it feels like.

I will never forget my first time experiencing this. I 13 at English Town NJ and was blown away. Not mention when you are walking the pits and the fumes of the top fuel blow your way making you feel like you got bombed with teargas

My family has raced NHRA for almost 30 years. It never gets old. Love to see first time reactions. This young man is frantically searching for ear plugs😂😂 You really do have to be there and “feel” it.
