Nasa has revealed a series of pictures of the galaxies that is the farthest humanity has ever seen in both time and distance. The images revealed at the White House on July 11 and 12, 2022, were captured by the new James Webb Space Telescope. The new observatory is a joint project of Nasa, European and Canadian space agencies. Part of an image shows light from not too long after the Big Bang, which was 13.8 billion years ago. Webb rocketed away in December 2021 from French Guiana in South America. The telescope is expected to be a dominant force for discovery for at least the next 20 years.

This genuinely took my breath away. I genuinely cannot believe that one minor species that arose on a tiny blue dot in a minuscule galaxy has just recovered images of the Universe right after it was born. I cannot express how grateful I am to be alive in an era where the birth of the universe could be seen.

Sometime it make me sad that I will never see the day our civilization fairing into deep space exploring galaxies or even other super cluster. I wish I could live forever

Crazy that we'll never know the current fate of the galaxies in the picture since they're too far and those light were 13 billion years ago.

Seeing how there’s galaxies and stars beyond the image of the nebula shows how vast and never ending space is. Is amazing~ 🌌

0:27 I had a theory that every atom inside us is actually a mini solar system. This picture looks like a blood cell. With that said if we look far enough we start seeing living beings in slow mo.

What is more incredible is the image of the galaxy cluster is obtained from a diameter of a grain of sand if you put it at your arm's length. Such a tiny speck of space contains so many galaxies, each with billions of stars and more planets. I believe we are not alone in this universe.

It nonsense for human to fighting each other to capture territory and sea on Earth while far above their head there have unlimited free territory and galaxy to discover...🤦.... instead of destroy each other why can't we work together for Space exploration...

Great achievement to capture these pictures. But they mean more to scientists than us ordinary people.

We could have learned so much more if there were no wars.

If there are alien species out there we legit have to be the one of the smartest ones. For a civilization to be able to look back 13.8 billion years is almost inconcievable
