What is SIP?

Nowadays, most of our communications taking place on the internet, from making phone calls to video conferencing, are all based on SIP. And because of that, we are no longer tied down by physical lines and can work hybrid, enjoying smooth internal and external communication while we're out of the office. With the prevalence of SIP, we wanna ask - do you really understand what SIP is and how it works? If the answer is no, there should be no worries.
