Hi everyone! I'm back today with the Moody Reader Book Tag~

I was tagged by Mark from Book time with Elvis:

and Sina from Beating Around the Books:!!

Originally created by Brittany from the Slanted Spines (Moody Book Tag)
I think the title of this tag has evolved from the original!

Questions:
1. Do you consider yourself a mood reader?
2. Do you set TBR lists and do you stick to them?
3. Do books affect you emotionally? Does the mood of a book rub off on you?
4. When you’re feeling sad, what do you read? (Or do you not read when sad?)
5. Most often, do you use reading to escape, to learn, or to critically reflect?
6. What is a book that made you laugh out loud?
7. What is a book that has made you cry? Or, if you don’t cry, one that really moved you?
8. What is a book that you didn’t even know how you felt about?
9. Are you more likely to read on a sunny day or a cloudy day?
10. Do you usually “set the mood” when you read? Music, lights, smells, etc?
11. Can you leap from book to book or do you need buffer time between them?

I really liked your version of this tag!! Especially the part about how books effect you and how you feel when you are immersed in a book world but have to be out in the real world!! I hope this lock down is easier for you than the last and I hope you get to read during it! Best to you and be safe!

Glad you're back on BookTube, Misa! And love this tag! I discovered recently that I am in fact a mood reader, albeit a very chaotic one, as shown through my TBR game videos that are currently train wrecks 😂 And I totally agree about how difficult it is to read outside! There are planes that fly over my neighborhood, so it's super loud, and also barking dogs and bugs and wind. So I definitely prefer reading inside, even though it's just as noisy due to my baby cousins crying and screaming 24/7.

Misa, so sorry you’re back in lockdown. Very glad you are back. Your comparison between TBR and window shopping is perfect. That’s exactly how I am. Magnus Mills sounds like something I could really get into right now. I read first book of the Chaos Walking series. Very good!

I tagged you in “The A Tag.”

Thank you so much for the tag Misa! This is definitely one for me as I am such a mood reader - more than I realised lately. You and I are very similar I think! Tbrs are like window shopping - such a great analogy! I love making them but rarely stick to them. The Chaos Walking trilogy is one of my favourite YA dystopian series as well - Patrick Ness is an amazing writing.

Nice one Misa and so great to see you. Hope the new lockdown won't be too bad. I was the same in the first lockdown I read nothing luckily this time it was different 😁

Great tag and answers; I need a lighthearted book after reading something profound, that or a bit of a reading break.
My friend lives in KL and was so disappointed about the lockdown extension to 28 June.

I feel *exhilarated* when making TBR's but committing to them feels like hard labor. Reading outdoors just seems so cool - perhaps it's more doable in countries with cooler climates? Reading under the Malaysian sun is torturous, the glare from the paper is horrible 😂 🙈
