Thin Lizzy = Most underappreciated rock band ever. They had a couple hits in the US especially with "Boys are Back in Town" but Disco was at it's height at the same time Thin Lizzy was pumping out hits across the pond.

Thank you for reacting to Thin Lizzy! In my opinion, this band doesn't get enough recognition.

I discovered Thin Lizzy when I was 15. Now I am 57 and still consider it as my favoirite band No 1! What a band. Such musicians! And Lynnott: what a singer, writer of lyrics, performer AND bassplayer! So wonderful to se the music reach out to new generations, beyond ethnic barriers!

Sweet! Love that killer riff! This song owned hard rock radio back in the late 70's when I was a kid. Wikipedia: "The name came from a robot character in The Dandy [British children's comic magazine] called Tin Lizzie, which they adjusted to Thin Lizzy as a playful reference to the local Dublin accent, in which 'thin' would be pronounced as 't'in'." Also "Tin Lizzie" was a nickname for the Ford Model T.

Did a radio interview with Phil Lynott several hundred years ago on a "progressive" FM station...what a really, really nice guy and an interesting interview...

Hey man. I dont know if anyone told you the story but they got the name, Thin Lizzy by Phil Lynott, the lead singer and bassist . Hes from Dublin, the original guitar player st was from Belfast. Phil called the band tin Lizzy, a old reference to a old automobile
With the guitarist having a Bekfast accent, he couldn't pronounce, tin lizzy, he said Thin Lizzy. There's the story of were the name came from. From the guitarist, Eric Bell, himself. Peace

I could listen to this album non-stop for the rest of my life and it would never get it!

The band took the name after Tin Lizzie a robot character from a Scottish cartoon strip "The Dandy". They added the H to Tin to reflect the Irish way of dropping their H's.

The entire songs just explodes that blues riff in and out of those 3 chords changes. It's menacing and relentless. It's fit's the lyrics and the song's story and attitude. Pefection I think.

The name Thin Lizzy was announced to the press on 18 February. The name came from a robot character in The Dandy called Tin Lizzie, which they adjusted to Thin Lizzy as a playful reference to the local Dublin accent, in which "thin" would be pronounced as "t'in".

Best concert I ever saw was Thin Lizzy on their farewell tour. Amazing! And they kept on playing! The encore went on for an hour! The audience called out songs and they played them all! Unforgettable!

I'm 57, when I was 12 years old I was a big KISS fan for 3 years.
My Sister and her boyfriend, brought me to my first Rock Concert.
Rush ya what day that was, indeed!

There was at the most 500 showed up, outside on a nice 🌞 day in Ottawa, Ontario. We got the early, one of the first ones to show up!

This is my story about Neil, and this what down that day! Neil, they have a Drum Set ready for you in Heaven.

The first thing I notice all the speaker stacks had Kiss Logo's everywhere and also "Dress to Kill" stickers also!

Man I was very confused, so getting close now, I was right up front row and Neil came out first and sat down at his drum set and started to play with his bells, chimes, everthing but drums!

Everybody was booing him telling him get off the stage, go home to mommy! All sudden he stop, all people were stund, it was dead silence!!!

Niel started super fast, for about 10 mins, unreal!!! then Alex and Geddy came out on the stage and going at it full force like always do!

Ya Niel, do that again

You may have already mentioned this in one of your other videos, but what's really amazing about thin Lizzy... is the fact that Phil Lynott broke so many doors open. He's a half black, half Irish bass player/singer, fronting a rock band in the 70s. This was unheard of. They actually have a statue of him in Ireland to pay tribute to such an amazing dude. Very cool!

The name came from an old comic character called “Tin Lizzie”
And phil lynott having a dublin accent knew that Irish people don’t pronounce the “H” in Thin

I've met Phil Lynotts mother on many occasions, lovely woman. Phil also had a illegitimate kid from a one night stand and that kid looks exactly as he did as an adult.

I'd recommend Sarah, Out in The Fields, Thunder and Lightning, Emerald, Renegade, Black Rose

This is my favorite Thin Lizzy song... And Google say: "Jailbreak" is used in the films Detroit Rock City, Joe Dirt, Bordello of Blood, and Gracie. and was also used in the Veronica Mars episode "Ahoy, Mateys!" and on the MTV show Jackass.
