PS4 Controller Yellow Light Problem Using DS4 On Pc Or Laptop Tutorial

If you are getting a yellow light flashing and the ps4 controller is not connecting while using the DS4 program, this tutorial will show you how to fix it. THERE ARE MORE FIXES WHICH MAY HELP YOU BELOW.

These steps have helped out others.
1. Reset the contoller with the small button on the back.
2. Check that you are up to date on the software and using the right version.
3. Try a different usb slot.
4. Run the program in admin mode.
5.Select the "Hide Controller" option.
5. Check the contollers software. To do this :
1.Go to device manager then look under "Human Interface
Devices."
2.An HID-complainent game contoller should be listed there.
3.Right click on it and go to properties, then the drivers tab.
4.Check that it is enabled. if not enable it.
5.Try the program now if not click the uninstall button.
6.Unplug the controller and plug it back in.
7. Let it finish reinstalling and try again.
IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS PLUGGING IT BACK INTO PS4
Turn off your ps4. Hold down the reset button for a few seconds. Then plug the controller into the ps4 with the usb cable. Try turning on the ps4.
If that fails use another ps4 controller or a usb keyboard to go into the ps4 settings/devices/bluetooth. Then click on the controller, hit options, and "forget" device. Then try the above solution. (Turn off ps4, reset controller, usb plug in, turn on ps4).

My controller charges and lights up orange but it isn't recognized as any kind of device. My computer also doesn't make a sound when it is connected. I have tried everything in your tutorial and description. It works on ps4 and used to work on emulators. Any ideas?

This worked for me. Except I had to change settings on 'HID compliant game controller' and enable it there. Now it recognizes my controller automatically. Thanks for the video

my controller had a HID-complaint cause I think it was full thanks to your video I did the exact same thing and enabled the device now its 100% working thanks

To whoever still having this problem, just enable the HID-complaint in the controller hardware. This worked for me!

my ps4 controller used to work perfectly. my lighting settings would work with ds4 and everything was peachy. now, i cant turn off the controller when im done with it, and it just pulses green, still shows up in ds4 and works, but cant get it to turn off or use my color settings.

Here's info what happened to me:
So I bought dualshock and with DS4windows software I played normaly any game, but then I wanted to try controller on my mobile so I connected him with bluetooth and played normaly on mobile. When I wanted to switch back to pc I just plugged in controller with usb but nothing... just orange light. Tried factory reset, ds4windows reinstall but only switching to another usb slot worked.

For anybody else who is having this issue and this didn’t fix it, i deleted all the files out of DS4 file took them to recycle bin and deleted them all from there, i still had DS4 somehow, i thought i deleted it, so i clicked to open it on my desktop and it ended up recognizing my controller somehow. i don’t know what i did but that seemed to make it work and this was yesterday when it suddenly stopped working and wouldn’t connect to pc with the flashing light to off. This was after i deleted the HID controller driver thing i seen in another video as well.
