He’s never a weak high schooler, just humble and bullied.

External solutions do fix internal problems. I've been training for the last 10 years. Your mental toughness and spirit are boosted tenfold.

As someone who got into martial arts to become stronger, I didn’t truly feel stronger until I fixed a lot of internal issues of self esteem and emotional control. Nowadays I still do martial arts to keep my body strong, but it isn’t the source of my strength as a person

Ashita no joe just shows how harsh boxing is but hajime no ippo just encourage us or motivate us and shows great things take time to a whole level

Hajime no ippo is a master piece because its a sports anime that doesnt focus on the sport 24/7 and gives its characters lives that makes them more like real people instead of just a boxer

i was chronically depressed and had anxiety attacks on the daily but when i started training for boxing I finally realized that life can get better if I tried to do something about it and now I love boxing more than anything else

Ippo wasnt weak before starting boxing. Nobody is weak doing the job ippo does. All that carrying and leg strength was the base of him becoming an amazing boxer

It's really clever to link ur source video by a short video, personally i think thats the best value to get from shorts, for that u gained my attention.

Insightful video. I love how you differentiated Ippo's physical strength from his strength of character, which hasn't really fully developed since his days as a friendless bullied high school kid.

I love hajime no ippo and i just finished the anime. I gonna read the manga now and also watch Ashita no Joe. It’s a beautiful anime about the brutal sport of boxing. The sound design in the anime is brilliant.

Anyone whos stepped foot in a martial arts gym or fight gym to better their mental health would disagree highly with this.
It can be therapy to some. Instilling confidence in us who lack it. While also humbling us to not be so full of ourselves.
The lessons are what you make it. Just learn and show up. Biggest two things i am focused on for my journey

it reminds me of takamura's speech to ippo after he retired telling him that you can't cross that line ( a line put there by takamura) that talks about competing in a world level if you can't become a monster, we did saw that even after retiring, ippo continued training hard ( even harder ) and become monstruously strong, however, as you said, his personnality didnt evolve as much as his physical strength and power so he couldnt become that monster takamura was talking about

Hajime no ippo is my favourite manga, and anime.

It's saddening to know the anime didn't continue, i really hope it comes out again soon.

One can really appreciate the message behind the story.

People should still have dreams, dreams are the very reason why we do what we do, theyre a representation of who we want to become as a person, the only reason why people feel empty after achieving their dream is because they think they have already accomplished whats most important in their life, but in reality they still have so much to improve on, when one truly realises this, they have reached their goal.

The fact that ippo didn’t even train he went to pro right away😂😂

I feel like being strong means being able to protect people that you cherish and care for. Like anyone can be strong by how they fight but if you can't protect people you care about then are you truly strong

My internal conflict right now is money. One step at a time.

Being weak and lacking confidence are not the same. Him just being himself changed the people around him.

When a hot head like Takamura will actually listen to you, and heed your advice, you know you're with the people you need to be.
