What's a Disk Partition?

✳️ Partitions allow a single physical disk drive to be treated as if it were multiple disks. That's a disk partition.

A single physical disk can have multiple partitions. That’s why partitions exist: to allow a single physical disk to be treated as if it were multiple disks. These separate disks are often used to contain important system resources. Individual partitions are one approach to organizing a separation between system and data, which can facilitate certain types of backup and recovery strategies.

Hi Leo, thanks for the video. At 6:09, I suppose there is an alternative to deleting the partition(for creating another partition). Shrink the volume of E: partition to say half of it. Then you can use the newly un-allocated space for additional partition. This way, you may also preserve the data in the original partition.

If your system only has one internal drive (C: drive - HDD or SSD), I'm assuming you would not want to format or delete the disk volume. Is this correct?

In my case I have two recovery partitions and cannot enable reagentc, it says cannot update boot config. Also I cannot boot into safe mode. Could you point me in the right direction to fix it by chance?
