I am new to sewing and haven’t even been making things for a full year and it’s so frustrating being plus sized and finding cute patterns all over the place that I cannot buy cuz they won’t work for me. I’m thankful to have found a fb group specifically for plus sized folks who sew and it’s been ridiculously helpful and so is your channel!

Cashmerette is a good one for plus sized patterns. I think that's the name of the company, and they do just plus sized patterns. I have some of their patterns.

With paying for things, support is going - hopefully - to the pattern creator as well as to the company.

Thanks Danielle! I am also a plus-size sewer, getting back into it after years away. I am also in Canada, so I understand the weather issue. I have just discovered Mood Patterns as well, and plan on trying them as soon as I finish my number ONE project: a dress form from Bootstrap so I can check patterns for me on a close approximation of me. I love your honest approach and that you don't call out the few stores in Canada (big names) that sell plus-size clothes. Very professional of you. I am also a master knitter and knitting teacher, and have spent years telling my students not to fear measurements and proper fitting. If we all had model proportions, what a dull world it would be! I have subscribed and I look forward to seeing what you are doing. Great video!

new viewer thank you so much! i am trying to relearn sewing, 40 years after home ec in jr highschool, . I want to learn to sew my own clothes because the plus size clothes in store are either not fun or comfortable and way too expensive. so now that my kids are grown and flown and i am disabled and have so much time on my hands i can sew something more than baby clothes. (my youngest is 26).I am going to start sewing for fun and my own need for fun and good clothes.
