I lived in Colorado springs near Norad Military base in the Cheyenne Mountain Range. They also have a Military base not far from Colorado springs called Fort Carson Military base and other Bases in and around Denver to Colorado springs. Most people that have lived in Colorado know what it's like to drive in the Mountains at the altitude of the mountain would effect the vehicles and might or might not effect modern day fuel injection vehicles back when I lived in Colorado the altitude change of the mountain would make the carburetor flood out or not get enough oxygen for it to work properly and my dad would have to adjust it for it to keep the car running right? The mountains are no place to be in the winter back then they closed roads going into the mountains. I've seen vehicles that went off the road somehow and left in the mountains because they went over a cliff off the road. Government property is strictly forbidden to go on and protect with High technology systems and cameras sometimes with armed personnel watching the Bases.
