Yes. If you just puncture the eye in the center of the surface of the eyeball, it is surprisingly flexible and resistant. It can be pressed deep enough without major damage.

yep, but, some realdeal CQB-guys say there's a SERIOUS downside to ANY of these dirty techniques-- not to throw them out, just be advised: ** i've heard of 'coolers' getting their thumb all the way behind the eyeball of a drunk, and he just gagged a bit; ** a lot of the guys you find yourself in a tussle with, are actually real badasses, (re athletic attributes, speed, power, experience, sociopaths), and will immediately COPY your dirty technique, AND DO IT BETTER than you're doing it, ON YOU. reportedly, this is a normal occurrence. don't over-estimate yourself, or under-estimate the POS.
so, i'd say do a quick eye attack, PURELY to set up an immediate escape from a ground situation, or run.
ideally, of course, you'd live in a militia controlled area, where you can 'carry' whatever you want, wherever you want, shoot-dead any a$$hole that wants a serious confrontation; drag the POS into the street for eventual disposal by your local militia unit.

I have eye gauged 3 people in street fights and finger jabbed one of them. It's not a fight stopper when I used them but it takes them from attacking to defending. I have be eye jabbed and it was like lightning going off in my eye, I never been hit so hard.
