Some bad advice here. He tells the guy to not try to be funky and instead, "play 1-2-3-4" which, when the guy does as instructed, is a terrible beat.

What?!?!?! Of course he can't play the straight beat properly... CAUSE HE CANT PLAY! probably why the funk thing shouldn't be top priority.
