Amazing!!! I saw the Flaming Lips at Lollapalooza in 95.

The band changed with the addition of Steven.
He is the No. 1 drummer alive today!

this was the first song I ever saw Drozd play when I saw the Lips play Slims of San Francisco in '95. Still the hardest hitting drummer I've ever seen in my life. His talent is insane.

Being an Okie and kinda growing up on the Lips, sorta had this knee jerk hate of post Ron stuff (and even some Ron stuff). But Drowzd and I were kinda friends for a minute. Seeing him play kinda washes away any "I'm over this sh*t" feelings. I love that dude (and all of his weird baggage). Even during the lamest song, watching that guy beat up those drums like they were sh*tty step kids, is oddly satisfying. Loads of us from that 90's era totally ripped off his rip-off John Bonham-style that he inherited from the drummer on "Hit To Death" and "In A Priest Driven..." (the guys name escapes me). Josh Garza of the "Secret Machines" being a more notable knock-off. Still...none of us came close to that Drowzd "hatred for the drum head". What...a...beast. Steven...if you're out there, my pedal board is actually pretty tight these days. Play more drums, you maniac.
