Lots of commentary here that is spot on about the band and its members...nothing I can add to that, except this: Nothing is digital. No auto tune. Not much in the studio to fluff things up at that time. The guys actually played and sang this just as you hear it! Pretty dang impressive!! For context, Pink Floyd released "Dark Side of the Moon" 1 year after this song came out. Sorry you two missed out on the 70s...they were glorious for music!

Born in '68 so when I was little this song was always playing. I took the lyrics to heart as a little kids. I've always held my head up and let them burn their eyes on my moving.

Jay & Amber, the guitarist Russ Ballard sang lead on this track!
He wrote "Since You've Been Gone" a hit for Head East and Rainbow., also "New York Groove" for Kiss's Ace Frehley!!
He had a minor solo career, with his "On The Rebound" reaching #70 on the US charts.
This was Argent's only real hit. Rod Argent(keyboards) and Chris White wrote this song. Great song!

It's not that often that the two of you listen to an entire song without pausing. And this song will do that to you. There are songs that I have to hear in its entirety, and this is one of them. Sometimes when I am parking my car, I sit and wait until the final notes of quite a few songs. Love the many genres of music you two have explored, and it is a pleasure taking that ride with you for the past few years. And truthfully, we have so much further to go on this musical trip.
