In 1976, I was in 7th grade when my older brother died in a Jeep accident. My mom made me go to school 2 days later whereat I was still in shock. The kids looked at me weird and I could here whispers about the loss of my hero. After class I went home and dug into his treasure chest of albums, which I had inherited, along with his blasting stereo. I played argent over and over and found my mojo in hold your head up. Music can either give you strength or bring you down. I chose to be strong and the kids took notice. Never had an issue with them after that.

Their performance of this song on the midnight special is one of the best that TV show produced.

It makes me so happy to remember all the forgotten songs from my younger days 💜

"Liar" is one of Argent's greatest songs. Three Dog Night had a hit with it in 1971.

Rick Wakeman from Yes said this is the greatest organ solo ever in rock. Rod Argent is so good!

One of the best rock songs ever. I would put this song in the Top 20 Rock Songs that have ever been written. Argent is hugely underrated.

Buffalo Springfield For What it's Worth. A simple song but a powerful song.

Let's pay homage to Leslie West who just passed away (75 years old).
Everyone has heard Mississippi Queen but, Never In My Life still has that incredible guitar tone!
Thanks for all the great reactions bros!

Guys, the great Leslie West of Mountain died this week at 75. You have done Mississippi Queen - please do Nantucket Sleigh Ride and Theme for an Imaginary Western in his honour.

Whenever this song came on the car FM back in the day, volume to 11.

The radio cut of this actually works better and is a more cohesive song than this extended version. This was one of my top 10 plays in High School, on 45 record of course.

Proud of you fellas. Listening to music like folk back in the day did. You guys are way ahead of the game as far as music appreciation is concerned. Wish more of the new generation could know what you two know. Well done. Cheers.

I just want to take a moment to say that you two have warmed my heart this past week. Well, you've warmed my heart all year, but from what I've witnessed this week with your gestures of reaching out to those who will be alone over the holidays, and helping out viewers to watch your other content, is truly remarkable! You are very impressive young men, and I just know you will go far. Thank you for helping me get through a pandemic, and for me always having something to look forward to at least on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Warm holiday wishes to you and your loved ones! Peace✨❤️✨🤍✨

PS I’ve also edited some of my comments after you hearted them and the heart went away😭 I did not realize that the heart would go away! It’s always an honor to get a heart from you guys, so I never meant to be ungrateful, I was just cleaning up my goofs on my comments. Love you guys❣️❣️

The summer of my magical youth, 1972, riding around in my bestie's Mustang groovin to this classic, jammin' tune. Great car driving MUSIC, BTW.
