Massed Pipe Bands Salute the Chieftain opening the 2019 Dufftown Highland Games in Scotland

The Chieftain Alex Grant, honorary President the Baron of Balvenie, Jeremy Duncan Nicholson and committee members prepare for the opening parade of the 127th (2019) Dufftown Highland Games in Moray, Scotland. After the opening speeches, the massed pipes and drums of 11 combined Pipe Bands (294 pipers & drummers) march past and salute the Chieftain playing "Farewell to the Creeks". The parade also included members of Clan Innes, who had travelled from the USA to be there for the Games.
The Pipe Bands were led by Drum Major Nick Stables from Dufftown & District Pipe Band, the other 10 bands were Arberlour Community & District Pipe Band, Ballater & District Pipe Band, Buckie & District Pipe Band, Ellon & District RBL Pipe Band, Forres & District Pipe Band, Huntly & District Pipe Band, Kintore Pipe Band, Lonach Pipe Band, Strathisla Pipe Band and Towie & District Pipe Band.
