A thousand pipers salute the Chieftain - 2022

This ceremony happens at the end of two days of competition during which pipe bands and their drum majors from all over the world compete against each other in a series of grades. Grade One is the highest grade.
The Chieftain is invited as an honoured guest for the event, and also presents the prizes. The Chieftain is often different each year. This year's Chieftain was Jacqueline McLaren, the Right Honourable Lord Provost of the City of Glasgow.
The massed bands (with only the drums of the bands at the front) are playing Hielan' Laddie, a traditional and very well known Scottish tune.

That was good. Cheers from a Welsh ex-pat now living in England who likes Scottish Music, especially pipe & drum bands and Runrig.

Thanks a MILLION for uploading this! I had the unfortunate miserable tragedy to have to miss it, since Livestream didn't capture it, and some stupid reason being in the US I'm never able to get anything from the BBC to play. Looking forward to when you upload the winning announcements. Since Ian retired I've heard, is it somebody different who's announcing them?
