Scotland the Brave as the massed Pipe Bands salute Lord Provost during 2023 Aberdeen Highland Games

Drum Major Michael Leitch leads the salute to the Lord Provost, Dr David Cameron, as the second group of massed Pipe Bands march past during the 2023 Aberdeen Highland Games. These were held at Hazlehead Park in Aberdeen on Sunday 18th June 2023 and this was the 5pm parade, with both massed band groups playing at the same time.

Drum Major Leitch was leading Portlethen & District Pipe Band, Deeside Caledonia Pipe Band, RAF Lossiemouth Pipes and Drums, Culter Pipe Bands, Fraserburgh RBL Pipe Band, Robert Gordons College Pipe Band and Granite City Pipes & Drums.

The bands had been competing during the Games for the RSPBA North of Scotland branch Pipe Band competition and with so many they had to be split into two groups for the march in ready for their award presentations.

I absolutely love bagpipe bands! ❤❤❤❤❤ Saw only one band live in Canada years ago when I was a kid and my parents almost lost me during the parade because I was so enthralled by the bagpipes and drums that I started following them down the street!!! Love this band! Thanks for the video! ❤❤❤❤👏👏👏👏

Thankfully not THAT David Cameron that was receiving a salute! He's served Scotland plenty well enough already with the Brexit fiasco he sleepwalked himself into!
