Home glucose testing is essential for any type 2 diabetic who wants to reverse diabetes through diet and get off medicine. For example I woke up with a bg of 70 so I know not to take medicine. Today is a good day to fast, loose weight and lower insulin resistance. I may have one meal or skip meals altogether. In any case home glucose testing is essential. You people who are still eating whole wheat toast, oatmeal and baked potatoes and all the other carbs that diabetes doctors say to eat will see a marked improvement in bg levels by cutting these carbs out entirely.

Your parameters for glucose levels are inaccurate. 200 is WAY higher than what it takes to get a diagnosis of type-2. 200 would most definitely be type-1. But hey, you're the one with the PHD lol.
