How Did Optimus Prime Get His Arm Back? | Bayverse

In Transformers 3 (TF3, DOTM, Transformers Dark of the Moon) Sentinel Prime cuts off Optimus Prime's arm, but then in Transformers 4 (TF4, AOE, Transformers Age of Extinction), Optimus Prime has his arm again. So how did Optimus Prime get his arm back? Well, in this short, I will explain how he got his arm back...

Note: These are just theories, these are not facts.

Now it is possible that Optimus’s arm was too broken for him to re-attach it like Bumblebee’s legs were. Starscream blew Bumblebee’s legs off into chunks, it wasn’t a clean(ish) tear like Starscream’s arm. But I think it was still whole enough for Optimus to re-attach it.

Now yes, Optimus did lose some parts when Sentinel cut off his arm. But just because he lost parts, I don't think that means it is not reattachable. Bumblebee literally shed a bunch of rings FOR FUN so it very well could be possible for Optimus still to re-attach his arm even though it lost parts.

This also could just be an ability specific to Decepticons or something, though that is unlikely.

Optimus prime can scan a new vehicle while in robot form because in the first when optimus landed on earth he scans a truck while in the cybertronian robot form so that may be why Optimus prime got his arm back

Optimus' cut was far more messy, you can see necessary small pieces fly off where Starscream's arm kind of just pops off with no debris.

It would have explained why a bounty hunter and weaker Megatron were able to beat him and would have explained why after losing his sword he needed to grab the knight’s one

No obviously, Ratchet reattached Optimus's arm. Optimus couldn't just reattached himself cuz when Sentinel cut his arm off, you could see parts flying off his body from where his arm was. Starscream was able to reattach his arm because when Optimus chopped it off, no parts came off Starscream's body.

He got his arm back from ratchet, he can't just reattach his arm like starscream because if you look closely there bit and pieces that came off with the arm. Unlike star his arm came off in one piece. So my reasoning is that ratchet was the one who reattach his arm

Starscream was shown reattaching his arm, I really don't see why Optimus couldn't do the same.
