Optimus Prime is actually immortal. Let me explain what I mean by this.

In the second movie of Transformers, Revenge of the Fallen, Optimus gets hit in the Spark area, which is the core area of the Transformers, and dies, but later in the movie, he is revived again with the Matrix of Leadership and now starts to carry the Matrix on his chest. Let me explain exactly what the Matrix is. The Matrix actually contains the spark of Primus and can turn the entire sun into an enorgan source if it wants to.

Now going back to the movies. In the 4th movie, Age of Extinction, while Prime is fighting against Lockdown, he is hit again in the Spark area and completely disintegrates. But at the end of the movie, we see that Prime is not even scratched and survives. This is the reason why Prime is almost immortal. So why do you think Sentinel Prime couldn't become immortal when he had the matrix?
