Took advantage of Blk Fri deals, bought this. Received and just set up today. Will test it out later.

Thanks for this video, very helpful from unboxing, and attachment setup. The manual is lacking on that. 👍

For a PC monitor this is probably one of the best you can get. Its an awesome replacement for my old crt monitor, which I kept because LCD burns my eyes and looks really washed out to me, bad motion, etc. I was waiting for an OLED monitor that was glossy. Some things to be aware of though. While the monitor is glossy there is still some kind of LCD like matte filter inside the screen. It gives the picture itself a little bit of an LCD, matte look. It reminds me a little of LCD matte screens where the light gets diffused into the screen and creates bloom or a smeared look. Its very slight on this monitor, not as bad as LCD's, but its enough to where I would rather not have that there. I prefer that full OLED gloss look, crt gloss or plasma, etc. I do see some light smearing to the picture that isnt on my Samsung S90D tv, that QDOLED tv is full gloss like other W-OLEDs. I dont know why monitors insist on doing this shit.

My other main issue is that I got what appears to be burn in within 2-3 months of regular use. I often have tabs up on the top and bottom o the screen and dont watch videos in full screen most of the time. So I was using it as a regular work pc monitor mainly, with some gaming. I will say that its still way fucking better than the crt i was using, which had worse burn in, and way better than using an LCD, so Im still keeping it. If it gets real bad I might wait 3 years and then cash it in on Asus 3 year warranty that you get out of the box. The burn in or retention I have is always there with certain background shades or colors. Its basically black shadow like bars (dimmer areas) on the top and bottom of the screen but only visible during certain back ground colors or shades. I can even see some of the icons appearing as little shadowy dots on the bottom of the screen. Luckily its only with certain backgrounds but it is something I notice and it annoys me during gaming sometimes.

Other than those issues, the picture is really vibrant and nice for gaming and regular PC content. Great contrast and motion as you get with OLED. I just would have liked a pure gloss screen like my TV's have always had. Hate anything that even fucking approaches matte finish in any way. Looks like shit to me. It does taint the picture for me. Especially when I compare it to an oled tv or qdoled tv that doesnt use those filters. I was still impressed with gaming on the monitor and it was what pushed me to finally upgrade my older WOLED tv to a QDOLED, so its still a great picture. I have not installed the firmware yet, so HDR looks like shit. Maybe its fixed now. The HDR just looked washed out to me.

Hey since you have this display for a while maybe you can answer some questions that I have please (or some other owners can):

- the SDR on Windows desktop image format looks (at least for me) insanely better if I don't activate HDR from Windows -> why is that? Once I activate HDR in Windows the colors looked washed up? Do I need to change some settings?
Do you prefer to change some Nvidia image settings like crank up the Digital Vibrance abit from the Nvidia Control panel?
My Nvidia settings are 32bit color depth / 10 bpc output color depth / RGB color format and Full Output Dynamic range

- should I calibrate the monitor with the Windows HDR Calibration tool? What values should I put -> 0 / 1000 / 1000 ? (there are 3 steps in the calibration tool)

- I know this is subjective but what mode do you guys prefer? HDR Gaming or Display 400 True Black? RN I'm using HDR Gaming -> seen some ppl prefer the Console HDR profile but after the latest update (105) from what I researched it seems the preferred image profile now is Gaming HDR

- the monitor itself in HDR mode doesn't let me configure color temp or contrast or anything which is a bummer -> guess we should wait for a good firmware update like the PG32UCDP and other ROG monitors are getting?

- during gaming while I have HDR On in Windows I get the exact same settings in the monitor's internal menu right? no new ones get activated that I can change compared to when I'm in Windows?

- some settings I should change in games or Windows to fully enjoy the monitor?

Thanks for any helpful advices!

probably dumb question, is the monitor screen safe to use invisible glass, or windex on it to clean it or no just a coffee filter and a dab of water?
