So.. if you had $3, 000 right now. What would you buy!? 😅

👉 UPDATE: HDMI 2.0 can do 4k 120hz with 4:2:0 chroma subsampling. ASUS/Nvidia must've added 4k 120hz 4:2:0 chroma support. So PS5 / Series X can use it!👍(thanks for tip @xm3lite)

I like the idea of this (mini LED/4K), but that price, that's a lot! Nice review mate.

I'm glad that I got a 48" 4k120 OLED for $1500 now.

Finally, 2 years after announcement. If they had released it last year, I'd have bought it in a heartbeat but now....I don't know. I had PG27UQ. Not only HDR on win10 sucks, I found myself not not using HDR too often even during gaming. Some games are OK, but many are bad. When it comes to HDR gaming, nothing can beat the experience of console gaming on big OLED TV.

I have been waiting for this for what feels like forever! I used the first 4k 144hz monitors (Acer X27) myself but felt it too small. Now I current use the Acer x35 ultrawide and love the aspect ratio. I might have to consider this one now. I do like ultrawide though. If this came in Ultrawide 4k I would get it in a heartbeat.

Curious to see how far the price will come down in the next few years for 4k 144 displays. Especially when consoles are outputting a 4k 120 signal today!

Fun fact: the new G-Sync modules also allows adaptive refresh with AMD cards, what a world

I'm so happy with the PG27UQ.. hard to belive I'll upgrade in the next 2 years (and I got that one in 2019). ROG/ASUS products are pricey but .. they all have that EXTRA quality there

Nice review Tom - wish I could afford this beauty! It's weird how many manufacturers put cool flashy RGB lighting on the rear of the monitor when 99% of users are going to put it up against a wall and never see it (especially if you VESA mount!). Sure it may add a bit of ambience from behind the screen but to go through the effort of creating a ROG logo-shaped light just seems like a waste of tech/time/skills etc.

I recently decided to pick one of these bad boys up. I am a huge fan of the 32" monitor size and I feel like these are actually usable now that 4090s exist. I still think its a bit overpriced but its hard to beat this at 4k HDR. I think even OLED tech is a bit behind due to lack of brightness and 4k options at 32 inches.

$3000 people can just buy a regular gaming monitor for e-sports and LG C1/CX OLED with warranty for casual gaming.
