the thing to remember here is that the steam deck has 4 cores 8cu chip compared to a 12 core 16cu strix point. of course they are expensive this is meant for $1k+ laptops not $400 handhelds.
the steam deck 2 is probably going to use the same architecture as strix point, but with a much smaller die area and therefore lower cost.

And I saved up my money for years to buy a steam deck! And to have the steam deck 2 be EXTRA expensive is kinda sad
