Honest question, completely speaking out of ignorance. I understand supply and demand. As an older gamer that stills has most of my consoles/hardware, so this leads into my question. Is the demand for retro hardware that high? Games I can understand. I can understand the desire for the software. I honestly am shocked that the supply and demand is what is dictating prices and not gouging. Even local shops here, the prices are nuts!

Yeah, it may be a crap shoot buying them from eBay, but just as much as buying it from DK Oldies, and I know many things, eBay does have a warranty on them too, so Idk about you, but if I was to buy it, I'll rather save the $80 and get them from eBay. 😉

I look at from a employee wage perspective plus rent and power then purchasing product not like its one person but they did get caught lying costs money to pay someone to refurbish

buy a gamecube in decent shape one original gamepad and 10 games from amazon at around 150 dollars and GG, its about the games to play and have fun and not to get ripped off like trying in DKoldies. I m playing on a CRT ps2 slim for ps2 and ps1 games and the rest of old consoles in emulators and i m having a blast BUT if my ps2 or my crt got fire in the end :) ewmulators or rosbery pi gonna save my day .

I don't think there's anything dishonest about what they're doing. Their prices are high and tbh they probably won't last long in the free market but if you're selling to casual gamers who just want to play Mario Kart, I don't think they're going to care about their controllers being third party. It clearly says it on the website anyway so it's not like they're trying to hide it.

Every product category relies on inside knowledge. You can't buy a car, a watch, or even a piece of clothing these days without knowing how the industry works. That's not necessarily the job of the supplier. It's buyer responsibility. 😊

I've never bought their console bundles but I find really sketchy that it said "refurbished" you thinking okay so they must have clean it but it doesn't come with original controllers not even game for overpriced. And probably not the original hookups as well like come on! As soon as you got bought it and arrived in the mail, it's going to look dirty as hell you're going to be filled disappointed even pissed off. Don't buy them, there's like better ways to get/play retro games.

Cleaning isn’t refurbishing but they don’t even do that. Most normies will pay a premium for a refurbed system so it just works…. well 😂
